Sweet Potato Custard


1 can (16-ounces) sweet potatoes or yams (cubed)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp grated orange peel
1 3/4 cup milk
1 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
Combine eggs, sugar, salt, nutmeg, orange peel and milk.  Add sweet potato or yams and butter.  Stir until well blended. 
Pour into a greased 12x7-inch baking pan, and bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until the custard is set.
