If your family is like mine...they love their cookies. You can
pick up a bag in the store... and it will last about a day, and take up 10% of
your Food Budget.
Before I bought my bread machine, I would make my bread in a
large, heavy duty, electric mixing machine with a dough hook. Now it has become
a cookie mixer.
It is very easy to take your favorite cookie recipe and increase
it to make a large, large batch of cookie dough. You don't have to stand over
the oven for hours baking the cookies. Simply wrap the dough in saran wrap and
then aluminum (or whatever method you use to freeze things) and put it in the
freezer. When you want cookies, simply take out the batter, thaw it (room
temperatures or in the microwave) and bake your cookies.
The best part- Fresh, hot from the oven cookies when you want
them with minimal effort. (And if you're very clever, you can get your kids to
bake them) It's a little work to make the batter- but when you're tired and
everyone is hounding you for cookies, you will be glad you made the
preparations.
