3 Things You Must Look for in a
Cheap Washing Machine

By Steven Magill

Buying a major appliance can be quite a headache. If you're not careful, you could end up purchasing an appliance that doesn't do everything you need it to do or you could pay too much for an appliance with a ton of features that you really don't need.

When it comes to a washer, there are three things you need to look for in order to get a washer that will do the job you need it to and do it well. Not everyone has tons of money to drop on a new washer, so a cheap washing machine is the answer. These are the things you need to look for:

#1 A Machine Large Enough for Your Family

While you don't want to buy the largest one available, you do need one that will fit your family. If there are only one or two people in the home, then the regular capacity will work just fine. However, if you have a large family, you want one that can handle larger loads. Otherwise, you'll end up doing laundry all the time. This will also mean that your water and electric bills will go up as well. That makes a cheap washing machine not such a good deal in the long run!

#2 A Fast Spin Cycle

You need to look for a cheap washing machine that has a spin cycle of at least 1200 rpm. This will ensure that your clothes take less time to dry, which will save you money. Most washers start out with a spin cycle of about 1000 rpms. However, the clothes can still be heavy with water when they come out. This means that your dryer has to work harder and longer in order for the clothes to get completely dry.

#3 A Warranty

When you're looking at the various models of washers, don't forget to check out the warranty. It goes without saying that a washer that breaks down within a few months is not a good bargain. You need one that has a good warranty that covers parts and service. In most cases, the warranties are good for the first year at least. Don't buy one that a warranty less than this.

You can find a cheap washing machine pretty quickly. In most cases, there will be a budget washer available for most major brands. Check your local appliances stores, but make sure you also check online, as well. You can often save up to 20% when you order online and you may also find free shipping deals, too.
Finally, one site dedicated to finding a cheap washing machine that is also a great washer. You will find many tips for getting the lowest price on cheap washing machines that meet or exceed your expectations.
