Butterscotch
Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
3/4 cup shortening
3/4 butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 cups oats
Preheat
oven to 375 degrees. Blend shortening and butter in a large bowl.
Add sugars, and mix well. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat until
fluffy.
Soft together
flour, salt and baking soda, and then add to bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Then stir in oats.
Drop batter
from teaspoon onto pre-heated and greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12
minutes.
