Inexpensive Bedroom Decor

I love the feminine, Laura Ashley look in bedrooms.
Achieving the full look with matching wallpaper, upholstery, and linens,
however, can be expensive. There are ways to get a bit of the flavor without
spending so much money.
When my bedspread finally needed
replacing, I bought a comforter set. With the set came 2 pillow shams (that
matched the dust ruffle) and 2 pillowcases that matched the bedspread.
To spread the floral theme around, I
pulled apart one of the pillowcases. I used the fabric to cover a lampshade and
to make a pillow, and I still have one more pillowcase for further projects.
There are many things I could do, from
table covering, to fabric picture frames. Since the sheets do not show, and also
match the bedspread, I could make window coverings.
- Next time you need to buy bedding,
think of the possibilities. It might be
- worth spending a little more money to
have these options.
